The combination of aceclofenac, paracetamol and chlorzoxazone is one of the most widely prescribed treatments for painful muscle spasm — back pain, sprains and strains. It pairs an anti-inflammatory, a pain reliever and a muscle relaxant in one tablet. Here is how the combination works, how it is used, what to watch for, and how Biozia supplies it as Zianac-Forte Tablet.
Biozia manufactures this fixed-dose combination as:
| Brand | Composition | Packing |
|---|---|---|
| Zianac-Forte Tablet | Aceclofenac 100 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg + Chlorzoxazone 250 mg | 10×10 Blister |
Each ingredient targets a different part of the problem. Aceclofenac blocks prostaglandin production to reduce inflammation and swelling. Paracetamol adds central pain relief and lowers fever. Chlorzoxazone acts on the spinal cord and brain to relieve muscle spasm, which breaks the cycle of pain causing spasm and spasm causing more pain.
The usual adult dose is one tablet twice daily after meals, swallowed whole with water. Treatment is normally short-term. Total daily paracetamol from all sources should not exceed the recommended limit, so patients should not take other paracetamol-containing products at the same time.
Possible side effects include nausea, indigestion, abdominal pain, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. Chlorzoxazone can occasionally colour the urine orange or reddish-purple, which is harmless. Rarely, chlorzoxazone and paracetamol can affect the liver — yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine or persistent stomach pain need prompt medical attention.
Muscle-relaxant combinations are a high-volume prescription category for orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapy clinics and general physicians. Zianac-Forte sits naturally beside Biozia’s other pain products, such as Zianac-P (aceclofenac + paracetamol) and Dicrex-MR (diclofenac + chlorzoxazone + paracetamol).

A harmless metabolite of chlorzoxazone can tint urine orange or reddish. It is not a sign of damage, but persistent dark urine with yellow eyes should be checked by a doctor.
