“Diclo MR” tablets combine diclofenac, the muscle relaxant chlorzoxazone and paracetamol, and are one of the most familiar prescriptions for painful muscle spasm and back pain in India. This guide explains the combination, its uses, dosing and safety, and how Biozia supplies it as Dicrex-MR Tablet.
Biozia manufactures this combination as:
| Brand | Composition | Packing |
|---|---|---|
| Dicrex-MR Tablet | Diclofenac Potassium 50 mg + Chlorzoxazone 250 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg | 10×10 Blister |
Diclofenac potassium is a fast-acting NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation. Chlorzoxazone relaxes skeletal muscle spasm through its action on the spinal cord. Paracetamol adds central pain relief. The potassium salt of diclofenac is absorbed quickly, which suits acute pain.
The usual adult dose is one tablet two to three times a day after meals, for the shortest period needed. Do not take with other NSAIDs or paracetamol-containing products.
Common effects include acidity, nausea, stomach pain, drowsiness and dizziness. Chlorzoxazone may colour the urine orange or reddish, which is harmless. NSAIDs such as diclofenac can rarely cause stomach bleeding, kidney problems and an increased risk of heart attack or stroke, especially with high doses or long use.
Diclofenac-based muscle relaxant tablets are among the highest-volume orthopaedic prescriptions in Indian clinics and pharmacies. Dicrex-MR fits alongside Zianac-Forte and the Ziacox etoricoxib range, giving franchise partners a full pain and spasm portfolio.
