Zianac-Forte Tablet is a powerful combination tablet containing Aceclofenac 100 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Chlorzoxazone 250 mg — three complementary agents that work together to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and ease muscle spasms.
This triple-action formula makes Zianac-Forte particularly well suited for conditions where pain, swelling, and muscle stiffness occur together, offering broader and faster relief than single-agent tablets.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Zianac-Forte is indicated for the short-term management of musculoskeletal pain associated with acute muscle spasm, including low back pain, cervical spondylosis, and periarticular pain syndromes. The combination of Aceclofenac (COX-2 preferential NSAID), Paracetamol (central and peripheral analgesic), and Chlorzoxazone (centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant) provides multimodal analgesia and myorelaxation.
Aceclofenac reduces pain and swelling by blocking chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. Paracetamol works as an additional pain reliever. Chlorzoxazone acts on the brain and spinal cord to relax tense or spasming muscles — so together, the three ingredients tackle pain from different angles.
Aceclofenac preferentially inhibits COX-2 enzyme, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby attenuating peripheral sensitisation and inflammation. Paracetamol modulates pain perception centrally via inhibition of central COX isoforms and activation of descending serotonergic pathways. Chlorzoxazone acts on the spinal cord and subcortical brain areas to depress multisynaptic reflexes responsible for skeletal muscle spasm, without directly relaxing striated muscle.
Aceclofenac is a prodrug that is partly converted to Diclofenac in the body — it was specifically designed to retain the anti-inflammatory potency of Diclofenac while causing less gastric irritation.
Zianac-Forte Tablet is best taken with or after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Always take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor and do not exceed the recommended duration of use.
Always follow the dosage and schedule advised by your doctor — this is general guidance only.
Common side effects may include nausea, stomach discomfort, headache, dizziness, or drowsiness — particularly from the Chlorzoxazone component. These are usually mild and improve as your body adjusts. Tell your doctor if any side effect is severe or persistent.
Muscle relaxants make muscles permanently weak.
Chlorzoxazone is a short-term centrally acting muscle relaxant that relieves spasm without causing permanent weakness — muscles return to normal once the spasm resolves and the medication is stopped.
Taking more tablets gives faster relief.
Exceeding the prescribed dose does not speed up relief and significantly increases the risk of side effects including liver and kidney strain. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
