Exo-D3 Nano Shots contain Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 60,000 IU per 5 ml in a ready-to-drink oral solution. Each pack contains four single-dose 5 ml bottles, making weekly or periodic dosing simple and accurate.
Vitamin D3 is essential for absorbing calcium and phosphorus, maintaining healthy bones and teeth, and supporting normal muscle and immune function. Vitamin D deficiency is very common in India despite abundant sunshine.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin D deficiency and as an adjunct in conditions requiring Vitamin D supplementation, such as osteoporosis and osteomalacia, as prescribed by a registered medical practitioner.
Exo-D3 tops up your body's Vitamin D stores. Vitamin D helps your gut absorb calcium from food, which your body then uses to keep bones strong. It also plays a role in muscle strength and the immune system.
Cholecalciferol is hydroxylated in the liver to 25-hydroxyvitamin D and then in the kidney to the active hormone calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D). Calcitriol binds to the vitamin D receptor, increasing intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate, regulating bone mineralisation and remodelling, and modulating muscle and immune cell function.
Even in sunny India, studies have found a large majority of people to be Vitamin D deficient - due to indoor lifestyles, sunscreen use, darker skin pigmentation, pollution and covering clothing, all of which reduce the skin's Vitamin D production.
Take one bottle as prescribed by your doctor - commonly once a week or once a month depending on your Vitamin D level. Drink it directly, preferably after a meal containing some fat for better absorption. Shake well before use. Do not take it daily unless specifically prescribed.
Always follow the dosage and schedule advised by your doctor — this is general guidance only.
At prescribed doses Vitamin D3 is generally well tolerated. Excessive or prolonged high doses can raise blood calcium levels, causing nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, increased thirst, frequent urination, weakness or confusion. Stop and consult your doctor if these occur.
More Vitamin D is always better.
Vitamin D is fat-soluble and builds up in the body. Too much can cause high calcium levels and kidney problems. Take only the dose your doctor prescribes.
If I live in a sunny country I cannot be Vitamin D deficient.
Deficiency is widespread in India because of indoor lifestyles, pollution and limited skin exposure. A simple blood test can confirm your level.
