Visiglow Forte Eye Drop combines Sodium Hyaluronate 0.18% w/v with Trehalose 3% w/v in a sterile ophthalmic solution. Together they lubricate, hydrate and protect the surface of the eye, offering relief from the dryness, burning and gritty feeling of dry eye.
Sodium Hyaluronate is a naturally occurring moisture-binding molecule that forms a long-lasting film over the eye, while Trehalose is a natural sugar that helps protect the cells of the eye surface from drying out.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Indicated for the symptomatic relief of dry eye disease and ocular surface dryness and discomfort, and for lubrication and hydration of the ocular surface, as advised by an ophthalmologist or registered medical practitioner.
Visiglow Forte forms a smooth, moisture-holding layer over the eye that stays in place longer than ordinary drops. The Trehalose helps shield the cells on the eye surface from dryness, while the Hyaluronate keeps the eye hydrated and comfortable.
Sodium Hyaluronate is a viscoelastic glycosaminoglycan with high water-binding capacity. It shows shear-thinning behaviour - spreading easily during blinking and thickening between blinks - which stabilises the tear film and prolongs ocular surface residence time. It also binds to CD44 receptors on corneal epithelial cells, supporting epithelial migration and healing. Trehalose is a non-reducing disaccharide that acts as a bioprotectant and osmoprotectant, stabilising cell membranes and proteins against desiccation and osmotic stress.
Trehalose is the sugar that helps certain plants and tiny organisms survive extreme dehydration - they can dry out almost completely and revive when water returns. In eye drops, it is used for the same protective property on the cells of the eye surface.
Instil one drop in the affected eye(s) as directed by your doctor. Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and place the drop in the pocket formed. Blink gently. Wait at least 5 minutes between different eye medicines.
Always follow the dosage and schedule advised by your doctor — this is general guidance only.
Temporary blurring of vision or mild stinging may occur just after instillation and usually passes quickly. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if you experience eye pain, redness that worsens or changes in vision.
Dry eye only affects older people.
Long hours on screens, air-conditioning, contact lens use and pollution mean dry eye is now common in young adults as well.
Any eye drop can be used for dry eyes.
Redness-relief and medicated drops are different from lubricants. Use a lubricant recommended by your doctor for dry eye.
