Zianac SP Tablet is a triple-action formulation combining Aceclofenac 100 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Serratiopeptidase 15 mg — a powerful combination designed to address pain, inflammation, and post-injury or post-surgical swelling.
Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, adds a unique anti-edemic and anti-fibrinolytic dimension to the analgesic properties of Aceclofenac and Paracetamol, making Zianac SP especially useful after surgery, injury, or dental procedures.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Zianac SP is indicated for the short-term management of pain and oedema associated with surgical procedures, trauma, and inflammatory musculoskeletal and soft tissue conditions including osteoarthritis, periarthritis, and dental surgery. Serratiopeptidase augments the anti-inflammatory effects of Aceclofenac by enzymatically reducing local oedema and fibrin deposition.
Aceclofenac and Paracetamol work together to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Serratiopeptidase is a natural enzyme that helps break down inflammatory proteins and fluid that cause swelling and tissue hardness — allowing the body to clear swelling faster and accelerate recovery.
Aceclofenac selectively inhibits COX-2, reducing prostaglandin-mediated inflammation. Paracetamol exerts central analgesic and antipyretic effects via modulation of COX isoforms and serotonergic pathways. Serratiopeptidase, a serine protease derived from Serratia marcescens, hydrolyses bradykinin, fibrin, and other inflammatory polypeptides, reducing capillary permeability, exudate formation, and oedema — thereby accelerating resolution of the inflammatory response.
Serratiopeptidase was originally isolated from the intestine of the silkworm and is produced by a bacterium called Serratia marcescens — it has been used in clinical practice in several countries for decades to reduce post-operative swelling.
Zianac SP Tablet is typically taken with or after food. The Serratiopeptidase component may be most effective when taken on an empty stomach between meals — follow your doctor's specific instructions for timing and duration.
Always follow the dosage and schedule advised by your doctor — this is general guidance only.
Common side effects may include mild nausea, stomach discomfort, or loose stools. Rarely, allergic reactions to the enzyme component may occur. These are generally well-tolerated at recommended doses. Tell your doctor if any side effect is severe or persistent.
Enzymes in tablets are digested and have no effect.
Serratiopeptidase is formulated with enteric coating to survive stomach acid and be absorbed in the small intestine, where it enters the bloodstream and exerts its anti-edemic effects at the site of inflammation.
Swelling always resolves on its own quickly — no treatment needed.
While mild swelling may resolve without intervention, persistent or significant oedema — such as after surgery or trauma — can delay healing and cause discomfort. Appropriate treatment like Zianac SP can speed recovery under medical supervision.
