How Oflozia Cream Works

Ofloxacin targets bacteria on the skin, while Ornidazole works against anaerobic microbes that thrive in low-oxygen environments. Itraconazole kills fungal organisms responsible for ringworm and similar infections. Clobetasol reduces the redness, swelling, and itching that come with skin inflammation, helping the skin feel more comfortable as the infection clears.

Mechanism of Action

Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone, inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, blocking DNA replication. Ornidazole is a nitroimidazole that undergoes intracellular reduction to form reactive intermediates that disrupt anaerobic microbial DNA. Itraconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450-dependent lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase, depleting ergosterol in fungal cell membranes and causing membrane disruption. Clobetasol propionate, a potent synthetic glucocorticoid, binds glucocorticoid receptors and suppresses NF-kB-mediated transcription of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reducing the inflammatory response.
