Amolpol-250 Suspension is a paediatric fever and pain relief suspension containing Paracetamol 250 mg per 5 ml. Designed for older children who need a higher strength than infant drops, it provides effective and fast-acting relief from fever and mild to moderate pain in a pleasant, easy-to-swallow liquid form.
Amolpol-250 Suspension is a trusted choice among paediatricians for managing fever during common childhood illnesses such as colds, flu, ear infections, and post-vaccination fever, offering a reliable and well-tolerated formulation from Biozia Lifesciences.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Paracetamol 250 mg/5 ml suspension is indicated for the symptomatic management of pyrexia and mild to moderate pain in paediatric patients. Clinical uses include febrile illness, post-immunisation pyrexia, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and musculoskeletal pain in children where oral analgesic and antipyretic therapy is required.
Amolpol-250 Suspension works by acting on the heat-regulating centre in the brain to bring down elevated body temperature. It also reduces the perception of pain by acting on certain pain pathways in the central nervous system. The result is a noticeable reduction in fever and an improvement in the child's comfort within 30–60 minutes.
Paracetamol inhibits hypothalamic prostaglandin E2 synthesis, thereby lowering the pyrexic set point and promoting heat loss through vasodilation and sweating. Its analgesic activity is centrally mediated, involving inhibition of central COX isoenzymes (particularly COX-3) and potentiation of descending inhibitory pain pathways. Paracetamol has negligible peripheral anti-inflammatory activity and does not impair platelet aggregation or damage the gastric mucosa, making it the analgesic-antipyretic of choice for children.
Paracetamol is the only analgesic-antipyretic consistently recommended for children worldwide by the WHO, UNICEF, and major paediatric associations — not just for efficacy but because it does not cause the stomach ulcers or Reye's syndrome risks associated with aspirin or ibuprofen in young children.
Amolpol-250 Suspension should be given only as directed by your paediatrician, based on the child's weight and age. Shake the bottle well before each use and measure the dose carefully. Do not give more frequently than recommended.
Always follow the dosage and schedule advised by your doctor — this is general guidance only.
Amolpol-250 Suspension is generally well tolerated. Mild stomach upset or skin rash may rarely occur. Using more than the prescribed dose or using it with other paracetamol-containing products can affect the liver. Tell your doctor if any side effect is severe or persistent.
Paracetamol suspension loses effectiveness if given repeatedly for the same illness.
Paracetamol does not develop tolerance or lose effectiveness with repeated use at the correct dose during an acute illness. Each dose works as effectively as the first when given at the right intervals.
A child's fever should always be brought down to exactly 37°C with paracetamol.
The goal of paracetamol is to bring fever to a comfortable, safer range — not necessarily to a perfectly normal reading. A low-grade fever can actually help the body fight infection; paracetamol is for comfort and safety, not to eliminate every trace of temperature.
