Zianac-P Tablet is a well-established combination tablet containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg — two complementary pain relievers that together provide effective relief from mild to moderate pain and inflammation.
Widely used across orthopaedic, dental, and general practice settings, Zianac-P offers dual-action analgesia in a convenient single tablet.
This medicine is commonly used for:
Aceclofenac + Paracetamol is indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, post-operative pain, dysmenorrhoea, and pyrexia. This combination leverages dual analgesic pathways for enhanced pain control with a balanced tolerability profile.
Aceclofenac reduces pain and swelling by blocking inflammatory chemicals called prostaglandins. Paracetamol adds to this effect by acting on the brain's pain centres to raise the pain threshold. Together, they provide more complete pain relief than either ingredient alone.
Aceclofenac preferentially inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), suppressing prostaglandin E2 synthesis at sites of inflammation and thereby reducing peripheral sensitisation. Paracetamol inhibits central COX isoforms, modulates the endocannabinoid system, and activates descending serotonergic inhibitory pathways — producing analgesia and antipyresis without significant peripheral anti-inflammatory activity.
Clinical studies suggest that combining Aceclofenac with Paracetamol can achieve pain relief comparable to higher doses of either drug alone — meaning you benefit from synergy while each ingredient can be used at a moderate dose.
Zianac-P Tablet should be taken with or after food to minimise stomach upset. Use it for the duration and frequency prescribed by your doctor, and do not self-medicate for extended periods.
Always follow the dosage and schedule advised by your doctor — this is general guidance only.
Common side effects may include nausea, indigestion, or mild stomach discomfort. Occasional dizziness or headache may occur. These effects are generally mild. Tell your doctor if any side effect is severe or persistent.
NSAIDs are the same as steroids.
NSAIDs like Aceclofenac are non-steroidal — they relieve pain and inflammation through a completely different mechanism than steroids and do not carry the same risks associated with long-term steroid use.
Paracetamol is completely harmless at any amount.
Paracetamol is safe at recommended doses, but taking more than prescribed can cause serious liver damage. Always stick to the dose your doctor recommends.
